ABOUT ME

Welcome to the Middle School Resource Room! My name is Meaghan Bowen, and I am thrilled to be part of the Mater Dei community. I have over 12 years of teaching experience and hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Holy Family University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Scranton. Before joining Mater Dei, I taught third grade, served as a math coach, and worked as a special education teacher and case manager for students in grades K–5.

In the Resource Room, I strive to create a learning environment that is welcoming, engaging, and supportive for every student. My goal is to help students build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

My family and I are members of St. Stanislaus Parish, and my two sons are proud students at Mater Dei. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my family and our dog, Rosie. I look forward to working together with families to make this school year a positive and successful experience.

At Mater Dei Catholic School, we embrace this call to be peacemakers. Pope Leo’s message speaks to everyone, but especially to our children, who are growing into the people God created them to be. When peace lives in our hearts, it flows into our words, our choices, and our relationships.

When every heart becomes a home for peace, then our school, our homes, and our entire community can become places of kindness, forgiveness, justice, and joy. Pope Leo is calling us to be different—to build peace through the way we live, speak, and treat one another each day.

This year, let us journey together as builders of peace—rooted in God’s love, guided by His truth, and strengthened by His mercy.
