Mrs. Margie Bauder

My name is Margie Bauder. I am so happy to be starting my fourth year teaching preschool at Mater Dei Catholic School. I am proud to say that I have a long history with Saint Stanislaus/Mater Dei Catholic school. I, along with my six children, are all SS/MD alumni! I continued my education at Montgomery County Community College and Gwynedd Mercy College earning my degree in Early Childhood Education. My goal as an Early Childhood educator is to develop a love of learning and a positive preschool experience for every child in my care and I am looking forward to an awesome year!

~ Mary, Guide Our Hearts ~

Welcome to the Mater Dei Preschool Program! The purpose of our program is to provide a positive early educational experience for your child. The program offers each child activities which address his/her total needs: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. Our commitment is to bring Jesus to the hearts of the children entrusted in our care. We will strive to provide a loving and safe environment that encourages socialization, creativity, experimentation, and 21st century learning. A "hands on" approach to learning is stressed.

Please be sure to check our important dates for the month of December. There are a lot of fun things happening!! (Please note that more information went home regarding the parties and the Christmas show on the 16th and are the information is in the newsletter.)

During the Advent season, instead of having an elf in our classroom, we will have a shepherd.  We met our shepherd on Monday and named him Nicholas. We also read his story, and talked about why he will be visiting our classroom during the month of December.  Our little stuffed shepherd (Shepherd on the Search, from Amazon)  will move closer to the manger each day, showing the children that we are getting closer and closer to Christmas day. Be sure to ask your child where we found Nicholas each day as I'm sure they will be excited!  We thought it would be fun to have some magic that was related to the reason for the season!

Each year, PK and K perform a Christmas Show at St Maria Goretti Church in Hatfield.  This year it will be held on Sunday, 12/16 at 4pm for all families and friends.  The children learn songs that tell the story of Jesus's birthday, as well as some Christmas carols to close out the show.  This is one of my favorites!  It is such a sweet way to share the joy of Christmas with our families. A letter about the show was sent home, please let me only if you won't be attending. Thank you!

**In the event of a two hour delay throughout the year, the Preschool doors will open at 10:10. The half day children will dismiss at 12:15 as usual. We will not eat snack on two hour delay days, however, we will eat snack on scheduled half days. Thank you!**

***We have a peanut and tree nut allergy in our classroom, therefore, we will remain nut free!!***

**There are still a few spaces left for Lunch Bunch for half day children.  If you are interested, please send in the paper as soon as possible to secure a spot.**
