Imagination Playhouse

A Peek in Our Classroom

As we head into our last week of May, it is hard to believe that we only have a few days left of Imagination Playhouse.  We will certainly be busy though finishing out our time here and celebrating all we have accomplished!  Remember to mark your calendars as Thursday, June 6th is our last day of school.  Students will arrive normal time and then parents are invited at 11 AM for a small showcase of our Circle Time activities.  We will then end with a popsicle treat.  This week, there is no school on Thursday due to the Holy Day.  I thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the surveys that were given last week.  They will greatly help us in the planning of next year.  Please return them as soon as you can. Have a great week and enjoy this beautiful weather finally!

June 6th  Last Day of Imagination Playhouse:  Parent/grandparents are invited at 11:00 AM for a lively performance and popsicle party!  Please park in the parking lot right near our door and wait for the Imagination Playhouse door to open around 11 AM.

Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning.  But for children play is serious learning.  Play is really the work of childhood.

Hello! I am Mrs. Kelly Mazeroski, or “Mrs. Maz” for short, and am thrilled to join the Mater Dei faculty as the teacher for Imagination Playhouse. This new class in our Early Childhood Program provides a two morning a week experience for 2 ½ and 3-year olds. I bring my teaching background as well as my experience as a stay at home mom to this program. I am a graduate of West Chester University and received my Masters in Education at Holy Family University. Before having my own children, I taught both fourth and fifth grade for seven years in the Central Bucks School District. I resigned from that position after my first son was born and have since been at home with our four children, who now all attend Mater Dei. During this time at home, the “teacher” in me always came out, and I have enjoyed volunteering at Bible School as well as leading the Mom and Tots group at Saint Maria Goretti. I have also had the privilege of getting to know Mater Dei through a parent’s eyes, volunteering in the lunch program and as homeroom mom. I am now looking forward to playing, singing, dancing, creating, reading, and pretending with our youngest Mater Dei students as they begin their learning adventure at this very special school!
