Welcome to Mater Dei Catholic Preschool Program! The purpose of our program is to provide a positive early educational experience for your child. The program offers each child activities which address his/her total needs: physical, emotional intellectual, and spiritual. Our commitment is to bring Jesus to the hearts of the children entrusted to our care. We will strive to provide a loving and safe environment that encourages socialization, creativity, experimentation and 21st century learning. A "hands on" approach to learning is stressed.

We will also learn about summer safety rules. Our Literacy Theme is: Off to K.  We will be reviewing letters, numbers, and all the  skills we have learned over the last year. We will be reading lots of book about going to Kindergarten. Our letter friend this week is Ms. K with her Kaboom kick.  We will listen for the k sound at the beginning and end of words. Please remember there is no school on Thursday, It is a Holy Day of obligation.  Have a great week !
  • You can help your child by reviewing the letters S, P, T,O, X, U, Y, W, F, A Z, B, M. R, C Q, V, J, H, I, G, E.D, L, N,and K.  Please remember to start all letters at the top.  We have been working on printing first names in all capital letters. The children are ready to move on printing their names in capital and lower case. so we will begin trying to go to lower case letters. The children have been doing a wonderful job but they could always use the practice.  Thank you for the gift of your child and the sacrafices you make to send your child to a Catholic School!  Enjoy your week!!!

Welcome to Preschool! My name is Kim DiMascio. I teach the four-year-old, five day a week, half and full day preschool class and the MWF half and full day class. I have been teaching for 27 years. I graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a degree in both early childhood and elementary education. I continued my education by going back to Chestnut Hill College to get my Master’s degree in early childhood education. I taught kindergarten, first grade, sixth grade and preschool. I taught sixth grade for one year at Saint Stanislaus School then I opened and taught preschool for 10 years until we merged and became Mater Dei Catholic. I have been teaching preschool at Mater Dei for 7 years. I live in Saint Stanislaus Parish. I have two children, Jonathan, a senior at Temple University and Christopher, a sophomore at Montgomery County Community College.  I am very excited to be a part of the faculty here at Mater Dei. I am looking forward to a great year!!!!!
