ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm Mrs. Brackman. This is my 4th year teaching, and my 3rd year at Mater Dei. I have taught 2nd grade all four years of my teaching career, and I am convinced it is the best grade! I am a graduate of Butler University (Go Dawgs!) where I studied elementary education and minored in special education. I'm originally from Indiana, and moved to Pennsylvania with my husband and our English bulldog two years ago. In Januaray we welcomed our baby girl, Quincey, into our family. In my free time I enjoy shopping, watching documentaries, and trying new recipes!

Seek Jesus in Others
"Seek Jesus in Others" is our focus for the new year. The creation story teaches us that God did not intend for us to live in isolation, but more importantly, we are made for each other. "Seeking Jesus in Others" reminds us to find the good in one another and to validate each person's dignity. By focusing on our relationships with one another, we will continue to create a sense of belongingness for all community members to mirror our hallmarks of Faith, Excellence, Service, and Community.
