HELP: We are really short of people willing to help out with lunch duty. Please consider helping us out, even for 1 lunch period a week. Clearances are still needed!

HOMEWORK:
Students are responsible for copying their homework into a dedicated assignment book (provided by the school). If they need to check on their assignment or forgot their book, homework is always available on the Google Doc that is posted below.
REGISTRATION for Summer Vibes and Summer Vibes XL IS NOW OPEN!
- Camp will be eight weeks long, from June 24th - August 16th. Campers can join us for 1 week or all 8 weeks. The choice is yours!
- Tuition per camper is $295 per week.
- Siblings Discount - Discount of 10% for your second and third child per week.
- Before and After CARE is available.
- Lunch will be available for purchase by AAA Catering.
- Summer Vibes is open to all children in the North Penn area. .
- Summer Vibes is open to children registered for the 2023-2024 school year in PreK3 through Grade 6.
- There will be a variety of activities, arts and crafts, plenty of sports, and even enrichment opportunities!
- This year, we are offering a special feature for our third to sixth grade students ~ Summer Vibes 2024 XL. This opportunity runs through the month of July, and it includes two weeks of art camp, two weeks of theater camp, and two weeks of baking camp.

CLASS NOTES:
- Please have all books covered with contact paper.
- Please make sure all pencils are sharpened each evening and ready for the next day.
- Make sure you charge your iPad and Chromebook each evening so they are ready to go!
- Remember to use the 30-30-30 rule for homework! 30 minutes of writing ~ 30 minutes of studying ~ 30 minutes of reading

ABOUT ME
Welcome to Mater Dei! This is my 40th year teaching in Catholic school! I have known some of you for many years! But, just in case you don't know me yet, let me say that I am a graduate of both St. Stanislaus Catholic School and Lansdale Catholic High School. When I came home after college at Millersiville University, I returned home to St. Stan's. I taught first grade for six years, third grade for nine years, and was the Librarian for 16 years. I have also taught 4th grade ELA, 6th grade ELA, Honors ELA, and 7th grade Religion along the way. This is my ninth year in fifth grade! My husband and I celebrated 36 years of marriage before he passed away in 2021. We have 2 children; our daughter, Gabrielle is teaching third grade at SJR in Warrington and our son, Michael, is a finance manager at Fred Beans Ford. We have 2 four-legged kids as well, our dogs Jack and Rose. We are members of St. Stan's parish.

"Seek Jesus in Others" is our focus for the new year. The creation story teaches us that God did not intend for us to live in isolation, but more importantly, we are made for each other. "Seeking Jesus in Others" reminds us to find the good in one another and to validate each person's dignity. By focusing on our relationships with one another, we will continue to create a sense of belongingness for all community members to mirror our hallmarks of Faith, Excellence, Service, and Community.
