ABOUT ME
Welcome to Mater Dei! This is my 42nd year teaching in Catholic school! I have known some of you for many years! But, just in case you don't know me yet, let me say that I am a graduate of both St. Stanislaus Catholic School (This year marks my "Golden Anniversary"!) and Lansdale Catholic High School. When I came home after college at Millersiville University, I returned home to St. Stan's. I taught first grade for six years, third grade for nine years, and was the Librarian for 16 years. I have also taught 4th grade ELA, 6th grade ELA, Honors ELA, and 7th grade Religion along the way. This is my tenth year in fifth grade! My husband and I celebrated 36 years of marriage before he passed away in 2021. We have 2 children; our daughter, Gabrielle is teaching third grade at SJR in Warrington and our son, Michael, is a finance manager at Fred Beans Ford. We have 2 four-legged kids as well, our dogs Jack and Rose. We are members of St. Stan's parish.

"Peace is Built in the Heart"
Pope Leo XIV’s words remind us of a powerful truth: peace doesn’t start in the world around us—it begins within each of us. It is shaped by love, nourished by prayer, and strengthened by our desire to live as Jesus taught.
At Mater Dei Catholic School, we embrace this call to be peacemakers. Pope Leo’s message speaks to everyone, but especially to our children, who are growing into the people God created them to be. When peace lives in our hearts, it flows into our words, our choices, and our relationships.
When every heart becomes a home for peace, then our school, our homes, and our entire community can become places of kindness, forgiveness, justice, and joy. Pope Leo is calling us to be different—to build peace through the way we live, speak, and treat one another each day.
This year, let us journey together as builders of peace—rooted in God’s love, guided by His truth, and strengthened by His mercy.
