ABOUT ME
Hello everyone!!! There are so many fun things to do in the classroom! I can't wait to get started.
I have been working in education for a very long time. I went to school for Music Education. I've taught music in public as well as private schools in the past. I'm thrilled to share my love and excitement for music with all of the students of Mater Dei. We are going to have an amazing year with lots of learning, playing and listening!!!
On a personal note, I'm the parent of 7 . . . everyone gets a friend! Actually - it's 8 now since we added a son-in-law this past Spring. I help with Mater Dei's musical and help coach Mater Dei CYO track & cross country. I love hiking. I love trying new things . . . well not skydiving . . . yeah, not doing that. I hope to bring my own passion into the classroom and ignite the passion inside your students!!!
Thank you for trusting me with your musicians! - Barbara Delp

"Peace is Built in the Heart"
Pope Leo XIV’s words remind us of a powerful truth: peace doesn’t start in the world around us—it begins within each of us. It is shaped by love, nourished by prayer, and strengthened by our desire to live as Jesus taught.
At Mater Dei Catholic, we embrace this call to be peacemakers. Pope Leo’s message speaks to everyone, but especially to our children, who are growing into the people God created them to be. When peace lives in our hearts, it flows into our words, our choices, and our relationships.
When every heart becomes a home for peace, then our school, our homes, and our entire community can become places of kindness, forgiveness, justice, and joy. Pope Leo is calling us to be different—to build peace through the way we live, speak, and treat one another each day.
This year, let us journey together as builders of peace—rooted in God’s love, guided by His truth, and strengthened by His mercy.
