Mrs. Amanda Sitoski
Classroom Pre-K 4B

The purpose of our program is to provide a positive early education experience for your children.  The program offers each child activities which address his/her total needs: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual.  Our commitment is to bring Jesus to the minds and hearts of the children entrusted to our care.  We will strive to provide a loving and safe environment that encourages socialization, creativity, and experimentation.  A "hands on" approach to learning is stressed.

In this last week of February, we will be learning about the letter Z, God Made Animals, and Lent.  Lent begins on Ash Wednesday.  In previous years, a Deacon or Priest has come to our classroom and given the children ashes.  Mrs. Volpe and I show the children that there is nothing scary about having ashes and they see us receive them first.  We will also begin our Lenten Bean Jar.  Each day of Lent, the students will share a kind deed or helpful act.  I encourage the children to do something kind or helpful at home, school, or sports each day.  Some examples are helping to clean their rooms, set the table, read a book with a sibling, eat all their dinners, or hug mom and dad.  I'll put a few beans in the jar for each good deed and then at the end of Lent, the full bean jar will turn into a surprise!

Please continue to wear sneakers and a coat each day.  We'll be going outside to play in this beautiful weather!

Welcome to PreK4! My name is Amanda Sitoski and I am the PK4B teacher. I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2002 with my degree in Elementary Education. I spent three great years teaching fourth grade at St Anne School in Bethlehem. My husband's job brought us to the Philadelphia area where I worked in Kindergarten and PreK for several years. After taking some time off with my kids, I was blessed to find Mater Dei!  This is my fourth year at our great school! I live with my family in North Wales. My daughter Lily is 12 and my son Thomas is 10.   We enjoy camping, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. I can't wait to help your child learn and grow on the path to Kindergarten readiness!
