Pope Leo XIV’s words remind us of a powerful truth: peace doesn’t start in the world around us—it begins within each of us. It is shaped by love, nourished by prayer, and strengthened by our desire to live as Jesus taught.

At Mater Dei Catholic School, we embrace this call to be peacemakers. Pope Leo’s message speaks to everyone, but especially to our children, who are growing into the people God created them to be. When peace lives in our hearts, it flows into our words, our choices, and our relationships.

When every heart becomes a home for peace, then our school, our homes, and our entire community can become places of kindness, forgiveness, justice, and joy. Pope Leo is calling us to be different—to build peace through the way we live, speak, and treat one another each day.
