Classroom Pre-K 3A

Welcome to the Mater Dei Preschool Program! The purpose of our program is to provide a positive early educational experience for your child. The program offers each child activities which address his/her total needs: physical, emotional intellectual, and spiritual. Our commitment is to bring Jesus to the hearts of the children entrusted in our care. We will strive to provide a loving and safe environment that encourages socialization, creativity, experimentation, and 21st century learning. A "hands on" approach to learning is stressed.

Important Dates:

2/22: Special food day, no NP lunch
3/5: Designer Bag Bingo
3/6: Ash Wednesday
3/15: Special food day, no NP lunch

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • I am still missing several Progress Reports. If you could please sign and return them ASAP, I would really appreciate it!
  • In the event of a delayed opening throughout the year, the half day children are welcome to join us, however we will still dismiss at 12:15 as usual. We will not eat snack on delay days, however, we will eat snack on scheduled half days. Thank you!
  • Dear Parents, We really need your help now that the weather is getting colder. Many children are coming to school with coats that are not labeled. The children are often unsure of which coat is theirs because we have so many coats that are similar. Please be sure to label ALL of your child’s belongings. This includes jackets, coats, hats, gloves, etc… We appreciate all the help you can give us. Thanks so much!
  • My classroom aides are Mrs. Cathy Butch and Mrs. Michelle Malcolm

ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Miss Mitchell, and I am the Pre-K teacher for the full time three-year-old class. I began working in daycare during the fall of 2004, and absolutely loved it. I knew at that moment, I was meant to be in the classroom. I graduated from West Chester University in May of 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and began substitute teaching for both North Penn and Central Bucks School Districts. I have been teaching for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia since the Fall of 2010. I look forward to creating a wonderful environment for the growing minds of your children!
