Classroom Pre-K 3A

Welcome to the Mater Dei Preschool Program! The purpose of our program is to provide a positive early educational experience for your child. The program offers each child activities which address his/her total needs: physical, emotional intellectual, and spiritual. Our commitment is to bring Jesus to the hearts of the children entrusted in our care. We will strive to provide a loving and safe environment that encourages socialization, creativity, experimentation, and 21st century learning. A "hands on" approach to learning is stressed.

Important Dates:

4/17: Easter Party, 10:30am for all parents who RSVP'd by 4/10
4/18: Easter Break Begins, No School
4/23: Classes Resume
4/26: Special Food Day, no NP lunch
5/3: Grandparents/Special Persons Day

  • Please be sure to sign your child up for Vacation Bible School at Mater Dei! Mrs. DiMascio and I will be teaching the Preschool group, and we are looking forward to a really fun week!
  • If anyone is able to donate, we are in desperate need of cleaning wipes and hand wipes. Thank you!
  • In our seventh year, we are energized by the recognition as a 2018 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.  We invite you to honor this special occasion through our TitleWish Initiative, which will allow us to fill our media center with high-quality educational resources and books that will provide even more academic opportunities for our students. Please help us reach our goal of $2500.00 by clicking on the link below before May 3rd.  Each donation will be acknowledged with a special bookplate inside all of the newly purchased materials. Thank you for your help in allowing us to provide the best education for all of the students at Mater Dei Catholic School where we celebrate Faith, Excellence, Service, and Community every day!
  • Dear Parents, We really need your help now that the weather is warmer. Many children are coming to school with new sweatshirts that are not labeled. The children are often unsure of which item is theirs because we have so many that are similar. Please be sure to label ALL of your child’s belongings. We appreciate all the help you can give us. Also, please be sure that your child is wearing sneakers every day. The children are going to be playing on the playground as much as possible. We can not allow the children to climb if they are wearing boots or dress shoes, as they can slip off of the equipment easily. Thanks so much!
  • I am still missing several Progress Reports. If you could please sign and return them ASAP, I would really appreciate it!
  • In the event of a delayed opening throughout the year, the half day children are welcome to join us, however we will still dismiss at 12:15 as usual. We will not eat snack on delay days, however, we will eat snack on scheduled half days. Thank you!
  • My classroom aides are Mrs. Cathy Butch and Mrs. Michelle Malcolm

Hello! My name is Miss Mitchell, and I am the Pre-K teacher for the full time three-year-old class. I began working in daycare during the fall of 2004, and absolutely loved it. I knew at that moment, I was meant to be in the classroom. I graduated from West Chester University in May of 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and began substitute teaching for both North Penn and Central Bucks School Districts. I have been teaching for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia since the Fall of 2010. I look forward to creating a wonderful environment for the growing minds of your children!
